I have been visiting Central Oklahoma on a regular basis prior to the Christmas season as Mrs. Claus and I really like the warmer weather and the friendly people. We started making our pre-Christmas appearances here about 12 years ago and have made it a regular part of our yearly schedule. In those 12 years I have visited with tens of thousands of Oklahoma children. In 2014 we attended the International School for Santa (to offer aspiring Santas some pointers on how to be me.) We have also attended the IBRBS (International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas) bi-annual conventions in 2016 (Branson) and 2018 (Denver) Using some of my creative talents as a graphic designer, I have created the logos for those events as well as many logos for Santas across the country who want to portray the most professional version of me that they can. In 2018, Whitney Stilwell contacted me about appearing at the Santa Experience, an interactive session with me in her studio. I was delighted to get the opportunity to spend a little more time with children compared to the quick photo sessions that I regularly engage in. Children get to know me better, learn a little more about the North Pole, the reindeer, and the importance of spreading Christmas cheer. It has proven to be a great event and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I am looking forward to this year's event as Whitney has added even more dates.
